The Common Tiger (Danaus genutia) belongs to the “Crows and Tigers” butterflies, the Danainae group of the Brush-footed butterflies family. The butterfly is also sometimes called the Striped Tiger to differentiate it from the equally common Plain Tiger Danaus.
